Aviators from Venezuela visited the Polish Military Institute of Aviation Medicine (MIAM)

A delegation from the Venezuelan National Bolivarian Military Aviation visited MIAM to learn about training and research facilities.

At the invitation of Col PhD Olaf Truszczyński, director of MIAM, a delegation from the Venezuelan National Bolivarian Military Aviation paid a visit to the institute on 27-28 August 2014. The visitors from overseas learned about training infrastructure and training programs implemented in the MIAM. Pilots from Venezuela had the opportunity to sit in the gondola of the human centrifuge – training simulator, and feel the effects of acceleration, and thus to assess independently the training capacity of the device. The guests were particularly impressed by multifuncionality of the human centrifuge. Colonel Cesar Padron, head of the delegation pointed out that there might be also a scope for cooperation with the Venezuelan aviation medicine center.
